Boeing secured significant orders at major exhibitions in 2025, particularly at the Dubai Airshow, where it finalized deals for hundreds of aircraft, including major commitments from Emirates and flydubai. Key orders were also announced at the Paris Air Show and other events throughout the year.
“Boeing is privileged to partner with airlines and governments across the Middle East to continue building one of the world’s most thriving aerospace sectors,” said Dr. Brendan Nelson, president of Boeing Global. “Our success reflects the vision and ambition of our partners, from national carriers expanding their fleets to defense customers advancing regional security and innovation. Dubai Airshow is an opportunity to celebrate these achievements, reaffirm our commitment to national visions, and look ahead to the next era of aerospace growth.”
Boeing is a strategic sponsor of the Airshow’s Aerospace 2050 and Aviation Mobility conferences, with a focus on innovation, collaboration and sustainability. This follows record orders for the company in the Middle East, driven by significant new airplane orders, expanding defense collaboration and deepening partnerships with governments, airlines and lessors shaping the region’s role as a global aviation hub.
The Dubai Airshow was a major event for Boeing in 2025, with several airlines announcing substantial commitments.
Emirates: The airline placed a landmark order for an additional 65 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, valued at approximately $38 billion at list prices. This expands Emirates’ total 777X order book to 270 jets and supports Boeing’s study of a potential larger 777-10 variant.
flydubai: The low-cost carrier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Boeing to acquire 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with options for an additional 75 jets, valued at $13 billion. This deal strengthens flydubai’s narrow-body fleet for future growth.
Gulf Air: Bahrain’s national carrier finalized an order for 12 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, building on its existing commitments for the type. This order will support its long-haul network expansion.
Ethiopian Airlines & Air Senegal: Other commitments included Ethiopian Airlines for 11 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes and Air Senegal for nine 737-8 jets.
Paris Air Show 2025 (June 16-22)
Boeing attended the Paris Air Show, focusing on innovation and partnerships, though the show saw more orders leaning towards Airbus’s favor.
Other Major 2025 Orders
Throughout the year, Boeing secured several other substantial orders, many of which were likely announced or finalized around air shows or major trade talks:
Qatar Airways: The airline and Boeing announced a historic order for up to 210 widebody airplanes in May 2025, a mix of 777-9s, 787-10s, 737-10s, and 777-8 Freighters, marking one of Boeing’s largest ever deals.
Korean Air: In March and August, Korean Air committed to a significant purchase of up to 103 jets, including 777-9s and 787 Dreamliners, to modernize its fleet.
Turkish Airlines: The global carrier placed a firm order for up to 75 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and committed to more 737 MAX jets in September 2025.
Uzbekistan Airways: The airline finalized an order for eight more 787 Dreamliners in November, bringing their total 787 order book to 22 aircraft.
Norwegian Group: The Scandinavian airline placed a new order for 30 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes in September 2025.
These orders demonstrate strong demand for Boeing’s widebody and narrowbody jets, with a particular focus on modern, fuel-efficient models like the 777X, 787 Dreamliner, and 737 MAX.
